2009 Jason is busy in post production on his feature length feature film ‘Bad Company’. A teaser can be seen at the official website. It is planned that post will finish by the end of the year and a test screening will be announced shortly after.


2008 Jason directed his first feature length film ‘ Bad Company’. The script was written by Jason and produced by Plastic Buddha and Sparkler Productions.

The film was shot using the HDRED camera.


In 2006 - 2007 Jason was one of ten writers that were promoted under the Guiding Lights scheme. With his personal mentor being the writer Christopher Hampton.












Jason was selected to direct a lottery funded Welsh Short Film ‘ The Life and Life of Horace’ which premiered at the UGC Cinema in Wales on St David’s day 2006.


‘All my mum’s friends must be dead!’ - A Short Film written and directed by Jason King is shortlisted and screened at the DM Davies Award, plus a number of other film festivals - including in competition at the Kino Film Festival (Manchester) and the Greenwich Film Festival (London). The film was also picked up by ‘Wellywood Shorts’ and screened in independent cinemas before the main feature film.


Jason has been a guest at many film festivals and in 2005 was invited to attend and talk at the Cambridge Film Festival as part of Micro-Cinema. Where the festival held a retrospective on his film career to date.


Jason’s first fully funded Arts Council Short Film is an instant success. The film was broadcast on ITV 1 and screened and shortlisted at a number of international festivals including Raindance (London), Foyle Film Festival (Northern Ireland) Clermont Film Festival (France).
